Cancellation Policy

Right of Withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period begins on the day,

  • on which you or a third party designated by you (who is not the carrier) took possession of the goods, provided the goods were delivered in a single shipment,

  • on which you or a designated third party received the last partial shipment or the last item, if you ordered goods that were delivered in several shipments or pieces,

  • or on which you or a designated third party received the last item, if you ordered several goods as part of a single order that were delivered separately.

Exclusion of the Right of Withdrawal for Live Animals

According to § 312g para. 2 no. 5 BGB, there is no right of withdrawal for contracts concerning the delivery of goods that can spoil quickly or whose expiration date would quickly be exceeded. Since our products consist of live ant colonies and live animals, withdrawal after delivery is therefore excluded.

A withdrawal is only possible if the queen of the delivered ant colony is demonstrably dead upon arrival. For this exception to apply, the death of the queen must be reported within 24 hours after receipt and documented with photographs. 

Orders placed outside of germany only have Live arrival guarantee, if the express method is chosen for delivery. For this exception to apply, the death of the queen must be reported within 24 hours after receipt and documented with photographs.

Consequences of Withdrawal

If the withdrawal is permissible and does not fall under the exception for live animals, we will reimburse all payments including standard delivery costs within 14 days after receiving your withdrawal notice. For the reimbursement, we will use the same payment method used for the original transaction unless expressly agreed otherwise. You will not incur any additional fees as a result of the reimbursement.

We reserve the right to refuse reimbursement until we have received the goods back or until you have provided proof of return shipment.

The return shipment must be sent no later than 14 days after your withdrawal. You bear the direct costs of returning the goods.

Special Regulations for Live Animals (Ants)

  • Dead queen upon arrival: Please report this within 24 hours via email with clear photos.

  • Replacement delivery: After inspection and verification, you will receive a free replacement, if available.

  • Return shipment: Returning the dead specimen is at your own expense but is not mandatory.

  • Shipping costs: The buyer bears the cost of re-shipping.

  • Refund: If no replacement is possible, a refund will be issued after receipt of the returned animal.
