The isopods are sold in groups of 10. Armadillidium cetinjense is a European roll-up isopod species from the Balkan region, characterized by its robust, highly arched body and mostly grey-brown to slightly marbled coloration. Like other Armadillidium species, it exhibits pronounced rolling behavior (volvation), which serves as an effective protection against desiccation and predators.

These animals are from our own breeding stock. When purchased, the isopods are shipped in mixed age and size stages to ensure an optimal start for a stable breeding colony.

The isopods feed on various forest materials such as decaying wood and leaf litter. Additionally, supplementary feeds such as calcium (e.g., cuttlebone or limestone) and proteins should be offered as part of a balanced diet. Various vegetables are also readily accepted. Vegetables from the onion family (garlic, leek, onions) should be avoided, as should iceberg lettuce.

A well-ventilated terrarium with clearly separated moist and drier areas (humidity gradient) supports stable keeping and successful reproduction. Waterlogging should be avoided, while a constant supply of calcium supports shell development.
