The isopods are sold in groups of 10. Cubaris sp. "Panda King" is a very popular and striking species of roll-up isopods (woodlice), characterized by its high-contrast black and white coloration. Its compact, heavily armored body and rather calm behavior are characteristic. Due to its "Panda"-like pattern, this species is one of the most sought-after Cubaris species in the hobby.
These animals are from our own breeding stock. Originally, these isopods come from Vietnam. When purchased, the isopods are shipped in mixed age and size stages to ensure an optimal start for a successful breeding colony.
The isopods feed on various forest materials such as decaying wood and leaf litter. Additionally, supplemental foods such as calcium (e.g., limestone or cuttlebone) and proteins should be offered as part of a balanced diet. Various vegetables are also readily accepted. Vegetables from the onion family (garlic, leeks, onions) should be avoided, as well as iceberg lettuce.
A moist but well-ventilated terrarium with a distinct humidity gradient (moist and drier zones) is crucial for successful keeping and breeding. Waterlogging should absolutely be avoided.
