The isopods are sold in groups of 10. Armadillidium granulatum "Lemon" is a particularly striking color morph of Armadillidium granulatum, characterized by its intense yellowish to lemon-colored markings. Also characteristic of this species is the distinctly textured, granular shell surface, which gives the animals a distinctive appearance. Due to their contrasting coloration, this morph is one of the most popular Armadillidium granulatum variants in the hobby.

These animals are from our own breeding stock. Originally, these isopods come from Spain. When purchased, the isopods are shipped in mixed age and size stages to ensure an optimal start for a successful breeding colony.

The isopods feed on various forest materials such as decaying wood and leaf litter. In addition, supplementary feeds such as calcium (e.g., limestone or cuttlefish bone) and proteins should be offered as part of a balanced diet. Various vegetables are also readily accepted. Vegetables from the onion family (garlic, leeks, onions) should be avoided, as well as iceberg lettuce.

A well-ventilated terrarium with both humid and drier areas supports successful keeping and breeding. Waterlogging should be avoided. Calcium-rich areas promote healthy shell development.
