- Humidity: moderate
- Ventilation/Air Circulation: medium to high

The isopods are sold in groups of 10. Armadillidium hauseni is an attractive and rather rarely kept species of pill bug (woodlouse), characterized by its heavily armored body and fine texture. The animals have a natural, elegant coloration and are considered special in the hobby due to their origin and rarity.
These animals are from our own breeding. Originally, these isopods come from Greece. When purchased, the isopods are shipped in mixed age and size groups to ensure an optimal start for a successful breeding colony.
The isopods feed on various forest materials such as decaying wood and leaf litter. In addition, supplementary feeds such as calcium (e.g., limestone or cuttlefish bone) and proteins should be offered as part of a balanced diet. Various vegetables are also readily accepted. Vegetables from the onion family (garlic, leeks, onions) should be avoided, as should iceberg lettuce.
A well-ventilated terrarium with wetter and drier areas supports successful keeping and breeding. Waterlogging should be avoided. Calcium-rich areas and sufficient hiding places promote the natural behavior of the animals.
