The isopods are sold in groups of 10. Porcellionides pruinosus "White" is a very popular and extremely robust color morph of Porcellionides pruinosus, characterized by its bright, whitish to cream-colored appearance. The animals are very active, eager eaters, and among the fastest reproducing isopods in the hobby.

These animals are from our own breeding stock. Originally, these isopods come from the Mediterranean region. When purchased, the isopods are shipped in mixed age and size stages to ensure an optimal start for a stable and fast-growing breeding colony.

The isopods feed on various forest materials such as decaying wood and leaf litter. Additionally, supplemental feeds such as calcium (e.g., cuttlebone or limestone) and proteins should be offered as part of a balanced diet. Various vegetables are also readily accepted. Vegetables from the onion family (garlic, leeks, onions) should be avoided, as well as iceberg lettuce.

Porcellionides pruinosus is a very adaptable and easy-to-care-for species. A well-ventilated terrarium with slightly moist to drier areas (humidity gradient) supports stable keeping and strong reproduction. Waterlogging should be avoided.
