The isopods are sold in groups of 10. Troglodillo sp. "Vex" is a rare and relatively new or uncommon form of Troglodillo in the hobby, characterized by its dark, high-contrast coloration and heavily armored body. Typical for this group is a rather hidden, ground-level behavior, with the animals often staying in the substrate and only rarely being openly visible.

These animals are from our own breeding. These isopods originally come from Vietnam. When purchased, the isopods are shipped in mixed age and size stages to ensure an optimal start for a successful breeding colony.

The isopods feed on heavily decomposed organic material such as leaf litter, rotten wood, and humus-rich substrates. Additionally, supplementary foods such as calcium (e.g., cuttlebone or limestone) and protein sources should be offered as part of a balanced diet. Various vegetables are also readily accepted. Vegetables from the onion family (garlic, leek, onions) should be avoided, as should iceberg lettuce.

A terrarium that is kept consistently moist but well-ventilated, with plenty of hiding places and a pronounced humidity gradient, is crucial for successful keeping. Waterlogging should be avoided at all costs.
